Our annual Raptor Festival is back! Xtreme Raptor Day celebrates these powerful hunters of the sky while offering unforgettable experiences. Our resident raptors await you on the trails for up-close encounters – including owls, hawks, falcons, and eagles. You will have a chance to learn about each species, their lifestyle habits, and habitats.
Additional stations around our grounds will offer interactive and educational experiences for you and your guests, including bird-themed crafts and activities. Learn about conservation initiatives at our Conservation Station; dive into the world of owls at Owl Cove; and experiment with bird adaptations at our Raptor Lab. You can also sign up to have your picture taken with your favorite raptor!
This special event supports the Raptors of Schlitz Audubon program and the resident, non-releasable ambassador birds in our care.

Talon Quest Adventure Hike | 10:00am – 4:00pm
The main way to see our birds! Use your Xtreme Passport to discover Schlitz Audubon’s resident raptors on our trails.
Eagle Meet & Greet with Valkyrie | 10:30am – 12:00pm

- Dive deep into the lives of owls at Owl Cove
- Make your own window decals to help migrating birds
- Uncover the importance of vultures around the world at Vulture Culture
- Participate in science experiments in our Raptor Lab
- Learn about migration of soaring birds at our Observation Tower
- Share personal messages with the birds of our Program at ‘Tweet our Birds’
- Face painting, a Bake Sale, and Silent Auction Display will be accessible in our Great Hall
