Embrace winter and experience hygge, a Danish word meaning a feeling of contentment, coziness and the joy of simple things, with plenty of activities for all ages during West Allis Winter Week.

Cocoa Commotion
Visit participating businesses for Buy One Get One Half Off specials on select chocolate products and hot cocoa.
Jan. 16, 2-4pm
Winter Scavenger Hunt
Search for winter items at the West Allis Historical Society and receive a chance to win a basket of prizes, and take selfies next to an antique sleigh.
Jan. 17
Rotary Club “Coze” Drive
Donate winter clothing items such as socks, coats and hats to individuals in need at the Coze Drive, hosted by the West Allis Rotary Club at Apostle Presbyterian Church, 1509 S. 76th St.
Jan. 18, 6-8pm
A Night of Hygge
Come to the West Allis Public Library for a night of family-friendly hygge-themed activities, including crafts for adults and children, a hot cocoa bar and cookies and board games and puzzles.
Jan. 19, 5-8pm
Souper Wednesday Soup Crawl
Enjoy soup samples from 10 participating restaurants along 70th to 76th and Greenfield Aves. Admission starts at $10.
Jan. 21, 2-4pm
Winter Bingo
At the West Allis Senior Center, 7001 W. National Ave. Free; open to all ages.
