A year ago there were predictions that the Milwaukee Brewers would have a very poor season. Look how that turned out. As the National Basketball Association begins, there are the same negative predictions for the Bucks, but there are reasons the “experts” again could be surprised.

Myles Turner, center for the Indiana Pacers who made it to the 2024 NBA Championship, is now a Buck and enthusiastic about playing alongside two-time MVP and perennial All-Star Giannis Antetokounmpo. Also added to the team in the off season were established shooting guards Cole Anthony, Gary Harris and Amir Coffey. And at least one observer predicts another trade that would add additional guards.

How the newcomers will blend with the strong returning Bucks roster will be determined in four exhibition games, including two in Milwaukee’s Fiserv Forum, and early in the season which starts at home Oct. 22 against the Washington Wizards.
