West Allis Winter Week

The city of West Allis once again embraces Wisconsin’s chilly temperatures with its annual Winter Week. These family-friendly activities will warm your body and spirit. 

Jan. 15-20 

Indulge your sweet tooth with the Cocoa Commotion event in which local businesses offer Buy One Get One Half Off cocoa and chocolate items. 

Jan. 15, 1-3pm

Head to the West Allis Historical Society for a Winter Scavenger Hunt, where you’ll hunt for winter-themed items and learn about the rich history of West Allis. An antique sleigh provides a fun photo opportunity. 

Jan. 16, Noon-4pm 

Join the Rotary Club of West Allis for its annual Club “Coze” Drive and assist local residents who are homeless. Donate new and gently used winter clothing items to Apostle Presbyterian Church, 1509 S. 76th St. 

Jan. 17, 6-8pm

Get in touch with your creative side at the West Allis Public Library’s Alice in Winter Wonderland event, which features a night of Alice-in-Wonderland-themed crafts, trivia and more. 

Jan. 18, 4:30-7:30pm

Sample hearty soups from ten West Allis restaurants during the popular Souper Wednesday Soup Crawl. General admission tickets are $12 and include a tasting ticket and saltine cracker necklace. 

Jan. 19, 6-8pm

Help West Allis Medical Center raise money for its Women’s Health Fund. Honor a loved one and contribute to the Center’s Luminary Display by purchasing a $10 luminary at the Center’s Women’s Pavilion. Luminaries will be displayed in the Center’s healing garden labyrinth. 

Jan. 20, 1-3pm

Try your luck at bingo at the West Allis Senior Center’s Blankets & Bingo event. Purchase raffle tickets for the chance to win winter-themed prizes. 

Jan. 20, 6-9pm

Enjoy a night of ice skating and hot chocolate, and stay cozy with a fire pit at Liberty Heights Park’s Ice Skating in the Park. Ice skates will be available for borrowing, and visitors can purchase German cuisine from the Kegels food truck.
