Prost! Food, Fun & Beers
Enjoy two days of German music, food, and loads of gemuetlichkeit at Waukesha Oktoberfest, 5-10pm, Sept. 22 and noon-10pm, Sept. 23 at Frame Park, 1240 Frame Park Dr. Waukesha. Admission is free.
Watch artisans excel at their craft during chainsaw wood carving and glass blowing demonstrations. Order a beautiful custom-made glass beer stein. Come watch as artisans grow the world’s largest gigantic glass German gherkin!
Grab a selfie with the Live Bier Garden Statues and try your luck at stein-hoisting at the Masskrugstemmen contest.
Don’t miss the Opening Ceremony, when the Firkin is tapped and festival-goers can sample free beer.
Listen to music from the 484th Army Blue Devil Brass Band and CopperBox Oktoberfest Experience, and check out the Best Dressed of the Fest contest.
It’s a full day of fun and games, beginning with the Das Bags Tourney.
Enjoy music from the Squeezettes and be sure to watch the unveiling of the Oktoberfest cake. The first 400 visitors receive free cake.
Head over to the Family Area where kids can enjoy crafts and games. Watch a performance by Muller Fasching Verein Nordamerika. Soak up suds during the Bier Garden Foam Fun Run & Walk. Then Blaskapelle Milwaukee takes the stage. Get ready to Prost!
A free shuttle runs continuously from 3-10:30pm Sat., Sept. 23. The shuttle picks up and drops off passengers at the Waukesha County Courthouse Parking Lot, 515 W. Moreland Blvd., and Baxter St. at Frame Park Dr.
Festival proceeds benefit local organizations including the Waukesha Sunrise Rotary Club, Waukesha Citizens Police Academy Association, Waukesha Public Safety Cadets, and Waukesha Lions Club.
