Arts @ Large

Arts @ Large, a dynamic community center, café, and event space, presents Flock, the latest Artist in Residency project by Hattie Grimm. The residency explores the interconnectedness of human emotion through brightly colored bird costumes, puppets and fabric banners.

“When I see birds fly thousands of miles into the unknown together, I am reminded that our animal bodies have the same instinctual wisdom,” Grimm says. “I paint bird and human forms to make this wisdom visible.”

The residency includes several public programs, culminating in a festive Bird Parade.
