The Milwaukee Chamber Theatre (MCT) starts its 50th anniversary season off strong with a production of An Iliad, a modern retelling of Robert Fagles’ translation of Greek poet Homer’s compelling timeless epic about war, honor, hubris, rage, and strength. The production runs Sept. 20-Oct. 6.

Written by Lisa Peterson and Denis O’Hare and directed by MCT Artistic Director Brent Hazelton, the production features N’Jameh Camara (The Mountaintop) as The Poet and a live score by Milwaukee artist Kellen “Klassik” Abston (Where Did We Sit on the Bus?).

It is the first production to be performed by MCT at the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center’s Goodman Mainstage Hall, which has an in-the-round setup ideal for audiences to fully experience the play.
