Brewers host three American League Teams
The Brewers are led by Prince Fielder, whose 50 home runs in 2007 set a Brewer record and led the National League; Ryan Braun, the National League rookie of the year in 2007, and veteran pitchers Ben Sheets and Jeff Suppan. Attendance at Miller Park, just five miles west of downtown Milwaukee, surpassed 2.8 million in 2007 and the enthusiasm has carried over to this season.. June home games: AUTO RACING FOR THE 51st time, top drivers and cars from the IndyCar Series return to The Milwaukee Mile May 31-June 1, the weekend after the Indianapolis 500. This year a double-header is scheduled June 1 on the historic track that is part of Wisconsin State Fair Park. The ABC Supply/A.J. Foyt 225 IndyCar Series race at 3 p.m. is the featured event, but will be preceded by the 100-milw Firestone Indy Lights race starting at 11:30 a.m. Practice sessions are scheduled May 31, along with the Sears Auto Center 150 USAR Hooters Pro Cup Series race, which brings some of the best stock car racers here for a race beginning at 5:30 p.m. Tickets and additional information are available at www.milwaukeemile.com. |
