Milwaukee visitors often are surprised by the vibrancy of the area's private art scene. Wherever you are in the metro area, you'll find something unique for office or home.
In the Historic Third Ward, KATIE GINGRASS GALLERY at 241 N. Broadway, features "Urban Perspectives" through June 28 with Milwaukee photographs by David Bader and Neil Rongstad and pastels of area landmarks by Scott Hefti.
Nearby, PICTURE PERFECT GALLERY at 320 E. Buffalo St. always offers photographs of Milwaukee landmarks, original works by Wisconsin artists and posters suitable for all commercial or residential decorating needs.
RIVERVIEW ANTIQUE MARKET, 175 S Water St. just across the Milwaukee River from the Historic Third Ward, is a great place to browse the finds of dozens of Wisconsin's leading antique dealers.
In Milwaukee's East Town, DELIND GALLERY OF FINE ART at 400 E. Mason St. and the MILWAUKEE STREET GALLERY at 717 N. Milwaukee St. are great stops.
DARK STAR GALLERY in the historic Loyalty Building, 605 N. Broadway, is owned by ceramics artist Nicholas Rostagno, who offers pottery classes to all levels of students. The gallery also represents several artists.

On the west side of the metro area, LANDMARKS GALLERY, 231 N. 76th St., is known for its wide variety of art and is one of the state's leaders in appraisal and restoration services.
Light-hearted artwork from throughout the country can be found at ART 'N ODDITIES, 5833 W. Lincoln Ave.
Historic Cedarburg north of Milwaukee also hosts a variety of galleries. In the Cedar Creek Settlement, you'll find LEAP of FAITH with a wide selection of creative gifts, and CEDAR CREEK POTTERY celebrating its 30th anniversary. Founded by Dave and Pat Eitel , current owner, Andee Warren offers hand crafted works of art for the home and office.
Just south of the Settlement ALL THAT PIZZAZZ specializes in artful gifts and whimsical home accent from artists throughout the world.
