		feature article - june 2008 23rd Cedarburg Strawberry Festival a real treat STRAWBERRY lovers will gather in Cedarburg from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, June 28 and 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. Sunday, June 29, for Cedarburg's 23rd Annual Strawberry Festival. Strawberry desserts and Cedar Creek Winery's Strawberry Blush Wine by the glass are among the taste treats. Cedar Creek Settlement a Sunday morning strawberry pancake breakfast, 8-11 a.m. Festival-goers will enjoy Arts on the Avenue, including the Fine Art Fair at Cedarburg Cultural Center, Cedar Creek Settlement's Arts Fair and the Ozaukee Art Center Fine Art Fair. Artists will paint all week and "quick paint" outdoors Saturday during the 8th Annual Plein Air Painting Competition. Live bands will play on stages throughout this historic area. The Summer Sounds evening concert in Cedar Creek Park features local favorites. Saturday at 10:30 a.m. the Ozaukee Humane Society's Pet Talent Show takes the stage at Cedar Creek Settlement, followed by Strawberry Shortcake Eating, Strawberry Bubblegum Blowing and Berry Bob contests daily. The Festival Kids Korner in Cedar Creek Park will host entertainment and activities. Shop the intriguing items at the Marketplace, tour Historic Cedarburg aboard a Tractor Hayride Shuttle, learn to ride a Segway and then visit the Wisconsin Museum of Quilts and Fiber Arts.
