Domed Miller Park great place for spring baseball
Located just west of downtown Milwaukee, Miller Park is recognized as one of the best stadiums in major league baseball. The retractable roof guarantees all games will be played, an important consideration in the spring. Manager Ken Macha has a strengthened lineup of starting and relief pitchers this year, thanks to off-season trades. The offensive lineup is anchored by Prince Fielder and Ryan Braun, young hitters who have already risen to the top of major league baseball. May games include a three-game series against the Atlanta Braves, who – as the Milwaukee Braves – were the last Milwaukee team to win the World Series. Tickets may be purchased online at www.brewers.com. Visitors driving to Miller Park may find the Canal Street entrance (west from 6th St. at the Harley-Davidson Museum) preferable to entrances off I-94. May home games: Iron off to strong start in top arena league
The May home schedule will include the Iron’s first game with the Chicago Rush, which is co-owned by NFL Hall of Famer Mike Ditka, former player and coach with the Chicago Bears. Led by coach Bob Landsee, an All-American at the University of Wisconsin, the Iron got off to a strong start with victories over the Spokane Shock, Iowa Barnstormers and Tampa Bay Storm. Management of the team has guaranteed season-ticket holders their money back if the Iron does not reach toe AFL playoffs. All Iron home games are played at the Bradley Center. Season and individual-game ticket information and details about players and special events are available at www.mkeiron.com. May home games:
